The role

As a key member within the Marketing team, reporting into the Head of SEO, the copywriter will:

  • Work with the Head of SEO to plan and execute the content strategy to improve organic traffic and conversions for Snaptrip group websites:
    Snaptrip
    Last Minute Cottages
    Big Cottages
    Dog Friendly Cottages
    LateRooms
    + others
  • Due to the level of copywriting requirements, the copywriter may need to manage a network of freelance copywriters. This will include briefing pieces as well as editing these to fit our ToV guidelines.
  • Work with the Head of SEO & the Head of Marketing to refine existing ToVs and customer personas.
  • Create different types of content including commercial and editorial, dependent on the stage of the marketing funnel that we aim to reach our customers.
  • Identify new areas of internal linking to improve page relationships to each other and help drive users down the conversion funnel from editorial content.
  • Propose new content ideas to test, working to ensure constant growth of traffic across the group.
  • Monitor competitor content activities to comprehensively understand the sector landscape.
  • Build new pages and test page structures within different CMS platforms based on the content being written.

The person

We’re looking for somebody with a passion for consumer start-ups and data driven digital marketing with:

  • Experience of working directly in a copywriting/editing role for a travel or large e-commerce website.
  • An ability to analyse data, with an attention to detail to spot content opportunities.
  • An ability to turn content requirements into briefs for creatives.
  • The desire to work hard and a can-do attitude, with their work making a difference to a rapidly growing, exciting business.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and collaborate as part of a small team.
  • A drive and desire to get stuck in and be self-starting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work in person, from our office on the Southbank in London, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
